Indications:
MECOBAL 0.5 MG is indicated for treatment of vitamin B12 deficiency, peripheral neuropathy, diabetic neuropathy, and other neurological disorders caused by B12 deficiency.
Pharmacology:
Mecobalamin is an active form of vitamin B12 involved in DNA synthesis and nerve cell myelination, essential for proper nerve function and regeneration.
Dosage:
Typical dose ranges from 0.5 mg to 1.5 mg daily, administered orally or by injection, based on severity and physician’s advice.
Administration:
Take orally with or without food. For injections, administer intramuscularly or subcutaneously as directed by the doctor.
Interaction:
May interact with certain antibiotics and chemotherapy drugs. Inform your healthcare provider about all medications.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to mecobalamin or vitamin B12 preparations.
