Aquacal-DX 600 mg + 400 IU Tablet is designed to support bone health by providing essential nutrients that aid in calcium absorption and bone mineralization. Calcium is vital for maintaining strong bones and teeth, while vitamin D3 enhances calcium absorption in the gastrointestinal tract. This combination is particularly beneficial for individuals at risk of calcium and vitamin D deficiencies, including those with osteoporosis, rickets, osteomalacia, hypoparathyroidism, or increased calcium demands during pregnancy and lactation. The typical dosage is one tablet in the morning and one tablet at night, taken orally with water. It's important to follow the prescribed dosage and consult a healthcare provider before starting supplementation, especially for individuals with kidney disease, hypercalcemia, or those taking other medications. Common side effects may include nausea, headache, dry mouth, muscle or bone pain, and drowsiness. In case of overdose, symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, anorexia, abdominal cramps, headache, constipation, and loss of appetite. Treatment involves discontinuation of the supplement and adequate rehydration. Aquacal-DX should be stored below 30°C, away from light and moisture, and out of reach of children. It is not recommended for children under 12 years of age.
