Description
Ebatin 50 ml Syrup is an antihistamine medication containing Ebastine, a second-generation H1-receptor antagonist. It is primarily used to treat symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives). Ebastine works by selectively blocking H1 receptors, thereby preventing the effects of histamine, a substance responsible for allergic reactions. This action helps alleviate symptoms such as sneezing, runny or itchy nose, and itchy or watery eyes. Ebastine is rapidly absorbed and extensively metabolized in the liver to its active metabolite, carebastine, which contributes to its prolonged effect.
