Description
Levobact TS 5 ml Oral Solution is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections in adults, including respiratory tract infections (such as acute bacterial sinusitis, acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, community-acquired pneumonia, and nosocomial pneumonia), uncomplicated and complicated skin and soft tissue infections, chronic bacterial prostatitis, and uncomplicated and complicated urinary tract infections. The recommended dosage and duration of treatment depend on the specific infection being treated and the patient's clinical condition. Levofloxacin is generally well-tolerated, but potential side effects may include gastrointestinal disturbances, central nervous system effects, and, rarely, tendonitis or tendon rupture. It is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to levofloxacin or other quinolone antibiotics. Caution is advised in patients with renal impairment, myasthenia gravis, or those at risk for QT prolongation. As with all antibiotics, it is important to complete the full course of therapy to prevent the development of drug-resistant bacteria.
