Indications:
Orbidex C Eye Drop is indicated for:

Bacterial conjunctivitis with associated inflammation
-
Post-operative eye infections
-
Ocular trauma with risk of infection
-
Anterior uveitis
-
Other inflammatory eye conditions caused by susceptible organisms
Pharmacology:
-
Dexamethasone: A potent corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties that reduces swelling, redness, and allergic reactions in the eye.

Chloramphenicol: A broad-spectrum bacteriostatic antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative organisms.
Dosage:

1 to 2 drops in the affected eye(s) every 4 to 6 hours

In severe cases, dose may be increased to 1 drop every 2 hours initially
Administration:

For ophthalmic use only

Shake well before use

Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface

Use as directed by a registered physician
Interaction:

Avoid using other topical ophthalmic medications simultaneously without medical advice

May interact with other corticosteroids or immunosuppressive agents
Contraindications:

Viral or fungal eye infections

Hypersensitivity to dexamethasone, chloramphenicol, or any components of the formulation

Patients with narrow-angle glaucoma or perforated eyeball injuries
Side Effects:
Common:

Eye irritation or burning

Temporary blurred vision

Increased intraocular pressure with prolonged use
Rare:

Superinfection with prolonged use

Cataract formation (long-term)
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use during pregnancy and lactation should be based on the physician's assessment of risk versus benefit. Caution is advised due to potential systemic absorption.
Precautions & Warnings:

Prolonged use may lead to secondary infections or increased intraocular pressure

Regular intraocular pressure monitoring is recommended

Discontinue if signs of hypersensitivity appear
