Indications:
B 126 is indicated for:
Neuropathic pain (e.g., diabetic neuropathy, alcoholic neuropathy)
Neuralgia and neuritis
Peripheral nerve disorders
B-complex vitamin deficiency
General fatigue or weakness due to vitamin B deficiency
Pharmacology:
Vitamin B1 (Thiamine): Enhances energy metabolism and neural signal transmission.
Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine): Essential for protein metabolism, neurotransmitter synthesis, and red blood cell production.
Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin): Plays a vital role in myelin sheath formation, DNA synthesis, and prevention of megaloblastic anemia.
Dosage & Administration:
Adults: 1 tablet once or twice daily or as advised by a physician.
Best taken after meals with water.
Interaction:
Pyridoxine may reduce the effects of levodopa unless used with carbidopa.
No major interactions at therapeutic doses.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to any of the B vitamins
Leber’s disease (with Vitamin B12)
Side Effects:
Usually well tolerated. Rarely may cause:
Gastrointestinal discomfort
Allergic reactions (rash, itching)
Sensory neuropathy with long-term high-dose B6
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Safe within the recommended dose range. Should be taken under medical supervision during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Precautions & Warnings:
Do not exceed recommended dosage.
Caution with high doses of Vitamin B6 for extended periods.
Not for use as a sole treatment for severe neuropathies without physician guidance.
