Indications:
Treatment of essential hypertension
To control high blood pressure when monotherapy is inadequate
Pharmacology:
Telmisartan: An angiotensin II receptor antagonist that lowers blood pressure by blocking the vasoconstrictor effects of angiotensin II.
Hydrochlorothiazide: A thiazide diuretic that reduces blood volume by promoting excretion of sodium and water, lowering blood pressure.
Dosage:
One tablet once daily, with or without food, or as directed by the physician.
Dosage may be adjusted based on patient response.
Administration:
Take orally with water
Consistent daily timing recommended for best results
Interaction:
May interact with other antihypertensive drugs, lithium, NSAIDs, and potassium supplements.
Risk of electrolyte imbalance with diuretics.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to telmisartan, hydrochlorothiazide or sulfonamide-derived drugs
Severe renal or hepatic impairment
Pregnancy and lactation

Fatigue
Increased urination
Serious:
Electrolyte imbalance
Hypotension
