Indications:
BILASTINE is indicated for:
Allergic rhinitis (seasonal and perennial)
Chronic idiopathic urticaria
Other histamine-mediated allergic conditions
Pharmacology:
Bilastine is a selective peripheral H1-receptor antagonist that blocks the action of histamine, thereby reducing allergic symptoms without causing sedation.
Dosage & Administration:
Adults and adolescents (12 years and older): 20 mg once daily.
Take on an empty stomach (1 hour before or 2 hours after meals) for optimal absorption.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Interaction:
No significant interactions reported.
Caution with other CNS depressants.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to Bilastine or any excipients.
Not recommended for children under 12 years (consult doctor).
Side Effects:
Generally well tolerated.
Possible side effects include headache, dizziness, and gastrointestinal discomfort.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use only if clearly needed and prescribed by a doctor. Limited data on safety in pregnancy and lactation.
