Indications:
Orbidex G Eye Drop is indicated for:

Bacterial conjunctivitis and blepharitis with inflammation

Post-operative ocular infections
-
Superficial eye infections caused by gentamicin-sensitive organisms
-
Eye trauma with inflammation
-
Uveitis and keratitis with secondary bacterial infection risk
Pharmacology:
-
Dexamethasone: A corticosteroid with potent anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties. It works by inhibiting multiple inflammatory cytokines, reducing ocular inflammation.

Gentamicin: An aminoglycoside antibiotic that inhibits protein synthesis in bacteria by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit. It is effective against a wide range of gram-negative and some gram-positive bacteria.
Dosage:

Instill 1–2 drops into the affected eye(s) every 4–6 hours.

In severe cases, dosage may be increased as directed by a physician.
Administration:

For ophthalmic use only.

Shake well before use.

Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface or the eye.

Apply as prescribed by a registered physician.
Interaction:

Avoid concurrent use of other topical eye medications unless prescribed.

Increased risk of ototoxicity or nephrotoxicity if used with systemic aminoglycosides (though systemic absorption from ophthalmic use is minimal).
Contraindications:

Viral and fungal eye infections

Hypersensitivity to gentamicin, dexamethasone, or formulation components

Untreated eye tuberculosis or glaucoma
