Orbidex G Eye Drop is indicated for:

  • Bacterial conjunctivitis and blepharitis with inflammation

  • Superficial eye infections caused by gentamicin-sensitive organisms

  • Eye trauma with inflammation

Pharmacology:

  • Dexamethasone: A corticosteroid with potent anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties. It works by inhibiting multiple inflammatory cytokines, reducing ocular inflammation.

  • In severe cases, dosage may be increased as directed by a physician.

Administration:

  • Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface or the eye.

  • Apply as prescribed by a registered physician.

Interaction:

  • Avoid concurrent use of other topical eye medications unless prescribed.

  • Increased risk of ototoxicity or nephrotoxicity if used with systemic aminoglycosides (though systemic absorption from ophthalmic use is minimal).
