Indications:
ORBIDEX 5 ML is indicated for the treatment of:
Severe allergic conditions (e.g., asthma, eczema, rhinitis)
Inflammatory conditions (e.g., arthritis, colitis)
Autoimmune disorders
Endocrine disorders (e.g., adrenal insufficiency)
Cerebral edema
Adjuvant in chemotherapy and certain infections
Pharmacology:
Dexamethasone is a synthetic glucocorticoid with potent anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects. It works by suppressing the migration of polymorphonuclear leukocytes and reversing capillary permeability, thereby reducing inflammation and allergic reactions.
Dosage:
Pediatric dosage varies depending on the condition and weight. Typical oral dose: 0.02–0.3 mg/kg/day in divided doses
Should be determined and adjusted by a registered physician
Administration:
Shake well before use. Administer orally using a dropper or measuring spoon. Give with or after food to minimize gastric irritation.
Interaction:
May reduce effectiveness of vaccines
Interaction with antidiabetic drugs (may increase blood glucose)
Enzyme inducers like rifampin or phenytoin may reduce dexamethasone efficacy
Contraindications:
Systemic fungal infections
Hypersensitivity to dexamethasone or any component of the formulation
Live vaccine administration during treatment

Precautions & Warnings:
