Pharmacology:
UBICARE 100 MG contains Nitrofurantoin, an antibiotic that works by inhibiting the growth of bacteria. It is bacteriostatic, meaning it prevents bacteria from multiplying, and bactericidal at higher concentrations, meaning it can kill bacteria. Nitrofurantoin is primarily effective against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria that cause urinary tract infections and is absorbed quickly into the bloodstream.
