Description

• রেজিস্টার্ড চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শ মোতাবেক ঔষধ সেবন করুন।
ZIBAC 250 MG is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections, including respiratory tract infections (such as pneumonia, bronchitis), skin and soft tissue infections, and urinary tract infections. It is effective against a wide range of bacteria due to its broad-spectrum activity.

Pharmacology:
ZIBAC 250 MG contains Azithromycin, a macrolide antibiotic. Azithromycin works by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit of bacteria, thereby inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, which is necessary for their growth and reproduction. By stopping bacteria from producing proteins, Azithromycin prevents the spread of infection. It is effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, as well as atypical pathogens.

Dosage:

  • For adults and children over 6 months: The typical dose is 500 mg on the first day, followed by 250 mg once daily for the next 4 days.

  • For respiratory tract infections: 500 mg once a day for 3 to 5 days.

  • For skin and soft tissue infections: The dose may vary depending on the severity and type of infection.

  • For urinary tract infections: A dose of 500 mg once a day for 3 days is commonly recommended.

Always follow your doctor’s instructions regarding dosage and duration of treatment.

Administration:

ZIBAC 250 MG should be taken orally, with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the tablet. Take the medication at the same time every day to ensure consistent blood levels.

Interaction:

ZIBAC 250 MG may interact with the following medications:

  • Antacids: Antacids containing aluminum or magnesium may reduce the absorption of Azithromycin.

  • Anticoagulants (such as warfarin): These may increase the risk of bleeding.

  • Other antibiotics or antifungals: Can alter Azithromycin’s effectiveness.

Always inform your doctor about all the medications you are taking, including prescription drugs, over-the-counter medicines, and herbal supplements.

Contraindications:

ZIBAC 250 MG should not be used in patients who have a known allergy to Azithromycin, other macrolide antibiotics, or any of its components. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe liver disease or a history of jaundice due to Azithromycin use.
