Pharmacology:
Vonoprazan is a potassium-competitive acid blocker (P-CAB) that inhibits H⁺, K⁺-ATPase in a reversible and potassium-competitive manner. It does not require activation by acid and has a strong basicity, allowing it to reside on the acid production site of gastric parietal cells for an extended period, thereby inhibiting gastric acid production effectively.
