Indications:

TETRAMIX 15 GM is indicated for the topical treatment of bacterial skin infections such as impetigo, infected wounds, superficial skin infections, and acne caused by Tetracycline-sensitive organisms.

Pharmacology:

TETRAMIX contains Tetracycline Hydrochloride (3%), a broad-spectrum antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit, thereby preventing the growth and multiplication of bacteria. When applied topically, it acts directly at the site of infection with minimal systemic absorption.

Dosage:

Apply a thin layer of TETRAMIX 2 to 3 times daily or as directed by a physician.
Dosage may vary depending on the severity and type of infection.

Administration:

Clean and dry the affected area before application.
Apply a small amount of ointment evenly.
Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes.
Covering with a sterile dressing may be done if advised by the doctor.

Interaction:

No significant systemic drug interactions expected due to minimal absorption.
Avoid concurrent use of other topical antibiotics or irritants at the application site unless directed.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to Tetracycline or any component of the formulation.
Should not be used in deep or puncture wounds, severe burns, or serious infections unless directed by a physician.

Side Effects:

Local irritation, redness, or itching at the application site may occur.
Rarely, allergic reactions such as rash or swelling may develop.

Pregnancy & Lactation:
