It is commonly prescribed for respiratory tract infections (like pneumonia, bronchitis), skin and soft tissue infections, and urinary tract infections. Azithromycin, the active ingredient in ZIBAC 20ML, works by preventing the bacteria from producing proteins necessary for their growth, thereby stopping their reproduction and spread.
Pharmacology:
ZIBAC 20ML contains Azithromycin, a macrolide antibiotic. Azithromycin works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, which prevents the bacteria from growing and reproducing. Azithromycin is effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, making it a broad-spectrum antibiotic.
Dosage:

For adults and children over 6 months, the usual dose is 500 mg on the first day, followed by 250 mg daily for the next 4 days.

Interaction:
