ROSU 5 MG is used to treat hypercholesterolemia (high cholesterol) and dyslipidemia (abnormal fat levels in the blood). It helps in lowering low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol and triglycerides, while raising high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol. This medication is also used to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events, such as heart attack, stroke, and angina, especially in patients at high risk.
Pharmacology:
ROSU 5 MG contains Rosuvastatin, a potent statin that works by inhibiting the enzyme HMG-CoA reductase, which plays a critical role in the production of cholesterol in the liver. By reducing cholesterol synthesis, it lowers LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol) and triglycerides, while increasing HDL cholesterol (good cholesterol). This action helps to prevent the buildup of plaque in the arteries, thus reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
Dosage:

The usual starting dose of ROSU 5 MG is 5 mg once a day.
