Indications:

TROPIDIL 5 ML is indicated for the following eye conditions:

Dry Eyes: Provides lubrication to alleviate the discomfort caused by dryness and irritation.
Eye Inflammation: Helps reduce inflammation and irritation caused by environmental factors or medical conditions.
Eye Irritation: Relieves discomfort caused by allergens, smoke, wind, or extended screen time.

It is effective in maintaining eye moisture and promoting comfort in conditions that result in dry or inflamed eyes.

Pharmacology:

TROPIDIL 5 ML contains Tropicamide, which acts as a mydriatic and cycloplegic agent. It works by relaxing the muscles in the eye, causing dilation of the pupil (mydriasis). The formulation is designed to lubricate the eyes and reduce inflammation or irritation caused by environmental factors, eye strain, or underlying conditions.

Additionally, Tropidil also provides temporary relief from discomfort caused by prolonged exposure to allergens, pollutants, or excessive screen time.

Dosage:

For Dry Eyes: Apply 1 or 2 drops of TROPIDIL 5 ML into the affected eye(s) as needed, usually every 2 to 4 hours, depending on the severity of symptoms.
For Eye Inflammation/Irritation: Use the prescribed dosage as recommended by your healthcare provider.

Note: Do not use more than the recommended dosage. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor.

Administration:

Wash your hands before using the drops.
Tilt your head back and gently pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket.
Squeeze the prescribed number of drops into the pocket without touching the dropper tip to your eye or any surface to avoid contamination.
Close your eyes and gently press the corner of your eye near your nose for a few seconds to prevent the drops from draining out.
Repeat in the other eye if needed.

Interaction:

TROPIDIL 5 ML is for ophthalmic use only and has minimal systemic absorption.
No significant drug interactions have been reported, but always inform your healthcare provider of any other eye medications or treatments you are using.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to Tropicamide or any of the other ingredients in the formulation.
Narrow-angle glaucoma or any condition that increases intraocular pressure.
Eye infections: Do not use if there is an active eye infection unless prescribed by your doctor.

Side Effects:

Common side effects of TROPIDIL 5 ML include:

Temporary blurred vision after use.
Stinging or burning sensation upon application.
Increased sensitivity to light (photophobia).
Redness or slight discomfort in the eyes.

Rare side effects may include:

Severe eye irritation or redness
Allergic reactions such as itching, swelling, or rash
Headache or dizziness

Pregnancy & Lactation:

Pregnancy: TROPIDIL 5 ML should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed and prescribed by a healthcare provider.
Lactation: Tropicamide is minimally absorbed systemically and is generally considered safe during breastfeeding when used as directed.
