Ebatin 10 mg is indicated for the relief of:
Seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis
Chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives)
Nasal congestion, sneezing, itchy eyes, skin rashes associated with allergies
Ebastine, the active ingredient in Ebatin, is a long-acting second-generation H1 receptor antagonist. It works by selectively blocking histamine H1 receptors without crossing the blood-brain barrier, thus preventing allergic symptoms without causing sedation.
Adults & adolescents (≥12 years): 10 mg once daily
In severe cases, the dose may be increased to 20 mg once daily as per physician’s advice
Should be taken orally with or without food. For optimal results, take regularly at the same time each day.
Co-administration with ketoconazole, erythromycin, or itraconazole may increase plasma concentration
Does not interact significantly with alcohol
Inform your physician about all other medicines being used
Hypersensitivity to Ebastine or any excipients
Severe liver dysfunction (use with caution)
Headache
Dry mouth
Drowsiness (rare)
Abdominal pain
QT prolongation (very rare and dose-related)
Most side effects are mild and transient.
Use only if clearly needed and prescribed
Not recommended during first trimester of pregnancy
Caution advised if used during breastfeeding
Use with caution in patients with heart rhythm disorders (QT prolongation)
Patients with hepatic impairment should consult a physician before use
Not recommended for children under 12 years without physician advice
Non-sedating Antihistamine (Second-generation H1 blocker)
Store at room temperature, below 25°C
Keep away from direct sunlight and moisture
