Description
Glizid 80 mg Tablet contains Gliclazide, a second-generation sulfonylurea used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus. Gliclazide works by stimulating the pancreas to release more insulin and improving the body's sensitivity to insulin, thereby helping to lower blood sugar levels. It is typically taken once daily, with or just before the first main meal of the day, to reduce the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). The dosage may start at 40–80 mg per day and can be gradually increased up to a maximum of 320 mg daily, depending on individual blood glucose control needs.
