Indications:
Treatment of essential hypertension
Effective blood pressure control when monotherapy is insufficient
Pharmacology:
Telmisartan: Blocks angiotensin II receptors, reducing vasoconstriction and lowering blood pressure.
Hydrochlorothiazide: Thiazide diuretic that promotes sodium and water excretion, reducing blood volume and pressure.
Dosage:
One tablet orally once daily, with or without food, or as prescribed by physician.
Dosage adjustments based on clinical response.
Administration:
Take with water at the same time daily for consistency.
Interaction:
Possible interactions with other antihypertensives, lithium, NSAIDs, potassium supplements.
Monitor for electrolyte disturbances.
Contraindications:
Known allergy to telmisartan, hydrochlorothiazide, or sulfonamides
Severe renal or hepatic impairment
