Indications:
BISOPRO 5 mg is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension, stable angina pectoris, and chronic heart failure.
Pharmacology:
Bisoprolol is a selective beta-1 adrenergic receptor blocker that reduces heart rate, myocardial contractility, and cardiac output, thereby lowering blood pressure and decreasing myocardial oxygen demand.
Dosage:

Usual dose: 5 mg once daily, can be adjusted based on response and tolerance (up to 20 mg daily).

Dosage should be individualized by the physician.
Administration:
Take orally once daily, preferably at the same time each day, with or without food.
Interaction:
May interact with calcium channel blockers, other beta-blockers, digoxin, antiarrhythmics, and insulin. Use cautiously with other antihypertensives.
Contraindications:
Contraindicated in patients with sinus bradycardia, heart block greater than first degree, cardiogenic shock, and hypersensitivity to Bisoprolol.
Side Effects:
Common: Fatigue, dizziness, bradycardia, hypotension.
Serious: Heart failure worsening, bronchospasm, AV block.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Use cautiously during lactation.
Precautions & Warnings:
Monitor heart rate and blood pressure regularly. Avoid abrupt discontinuation. Use cautiously in patients with respiratory diseases.
