Levomefolate Calcium is a bioactive form of folate, included to support folate levels during contraceptive use. This formulation is indicated for contraception, treatment of moderate acne in women aged 14 and older who desire birth control, management of premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), and folate supplementation to reduce the risk of neural tube defects in pregnancies conceived while using the product or shortly after discontinuation. The tablet is typically taken once daily for 28 consecutive days, with 24 active tablets followed by 4 placebo tablets.
