🔸 Indications:
Nofiate 200 mg is indicated for:

Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)

Management of chronic stable angina
-
Prevention of coronary artery spasm (Prinzmetal’s angina)
🔸 Pharmacology:
Nofiate contains Nifedipine, a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker that inhibits calcium influx into vascular smooth muscle, causing vasodilation and reducing blood pressure.
🔸 Dosage:

Extended-release formulation usually taken once daily (200 mg dose)

Dose adjustment based on clinical response and tolerance
🔸 Administration:
Take orally with water, preferably on an empty stomach or as directed by physician.
🔸 Interaction:

May increase hypotensive effects with other antihypertensives

Avoid grapefruit juice as it increases nifedipine concentration

Caution with CYP3A4 inhibitors and inducers
🔸 Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to nifedipine or formulation components

Severe hypotension or cardiogenic shock

Obstruction of the aortic valve
