Indications:
Montair is indicated for the prophylaxis and chronic treatment of asthma, prevention of exercise-induced bronchoconstriction, and relief of symptoms of allergic rhinitis.
Pharmacology:
Montelukast is a selective leukotriene receptor antagonist that blocks the action of leukotriene D4 in the lungs and bronchial tubes, reducing inflammation and allergic symptoms.

Interaction:
May interact with phenobarbital, rifampin, and other drugs that induce CYP450 enzymes, which may reduce Montelukast effectiveness.
