Lopirel Plus is indicated for:
Prevention of atherothrombotic events in patients with recent myocardial infarction (MI), stroke, or established peripheral arterial disease
Secondary prevention of cardiovascular events
Management of hypertension with cardiac risk
Lopirel Plus is a combination of Clopidogrel (an antiplatelet agent) and Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid, an NSAID with antiplatelet effects).
Clopidogrel inhibits ADP-induced platelet aggregation by irreversibly binding to P2Y12 receptors.
Aspirin irreversibly inhibits COX-1, reducing thromboxane A2 formation, further preventing platelet aggregation.
Together, they reduce the risk of thrombotic cardiovascular events.
Usual adult dose: Clopidogrel 75 mg + Aspirin 75 mg once daily
Or as directed by the physician based on individual cardiac risk profile
Take orally with water, preferably after food to minimize gastric irritation. Do not crush or chew.
Increased bleeding risk with anticoagulants (e.g., warfarin, heparin)
NSAIDs and SSRIs may enhance gastrointestinal bleeding risk
Omeprazole may reduce clopidogrel's effectiveness
Inform your doctor about all medicines including over-the-counter drugs and supplements.
Active pathological bleeding (e.g., peptic ulcer, intracranial hemorrhage)
Severe liver dysfunction
Hypersensitivity to clopidogrel, aspirin, or NSAIDs
Bleeding (nosebleeds, bruising, GI bleeding)
Dyspepsia
Nausea
Rash
Rare: Thrombocytopenia, agranulocytosis
Seek immediate help if signs of serious bleeding or allergic reaction appear.
Use only if clearly needed and prescribed by a physician.
Aspirin may cause complications in the third trimester.
Monitor for signs of bleeding, especially in elderly patients
Use cautiously in patients with history of peptic ulcer or bleeding disorders
Liver function and platelet count monitoring may be required during prolonged use
Antiplatelet Agent (Clopidogrel + Aspirin combination)
Cardiovascular Risk Reducer
