Description
Valex CR 200 mg Tablet, produced by Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd., is an enteric-coated controlled-release formulation containing Sodium Valproate as its active ingredient. Each tablet delivers 200 mg of Sodium Valproate, comprising 133.2 mg of Sodium Valproate BP and 58 mg of Valproic Acid BP. This medication is primarily used in the management of various types of epilepsy, including partial seizures, absence seizures (petit mal), generalized tonic-clonic seizures (grand mal), myoclonic seizures, atonic seizures, and mixed seizures that include absence attacks. Additionally, Valex CR is indicated for the prophylaxis of febrile convulsions and post-traumatic epilepsy. Beyond its use in epilepsy, it is also prescribed for the treatment of bipolar disorder and the prophylaxis of migraine headaches.
