Description
Oryza-C 120ml is a therapeutic mouthwash developed by Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd., combining 0.15% benzydamine hydrochloride and 0.12% chlorhexidine gluconate to provide both anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effects. Benzydamine, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), offers analgesic and local anesthetic properties, effectively reducing pain and inflammation in conditions such as sore throat, tonsillitis, mouth ulcers, and post-dental surgery discomfort. Chlorhexidine gluconate serves as a broad-spectrum antiseptic, targeting bacteria responsible for oral infections and aiding in the prevention of plaque buildup and gingivitis. The recommended usage involves rinsing or gargling 15 ml of the solution every 1.5 to 3 hours, holding it in the mouth for 20–30 seconds before spitting out; dilution with an equal volume of water is advised if a stinging sensation occurs. While generally well-tolerated, potential side effects may include oral numbness, temporary taste disturbances, or mild irritation. Oryza-C is intended for short-term use and should be used under medical supervision, especially in individuals with known hypersensitivity to its components. It is widely available in Bangladesh and is considered a reliable option for managing oral and throat discomfort.
