Description
Topicazole Plus 10 gm Cream is a topical medication manufactured by Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd., combining Miconazole Nitrate 2% and Hydrocortisone 1%. This combination provides both antifungal and anti-inflammatory effects, making it effective for treating inflammatory skin conditions complicated by fungal infections. Indications include intertrigo, infected eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, and other inflammatory dermatoses where fungal infection is present. Miconazole, an imidazole antifungal agent, inhibits ergosterol synthesis, disrupting fungal cell membranes, while Hydrocortisone, a corticosteroid, reduces inflammation and pruritus. The cream is typically applied to the affected area as a thin film two to four times daily for 1 to 2 weeks, continuing for at least one week after symptoms resolve. It is contraindicated in individuals with hypersensitivity to any component and should be used cautiously in pregnant or lactating women.
