Description
Telmipres Plus 40 mg + 12.5 mg Tablet is an antihypertensive medication manufactured by Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd., combining 40 mg of Telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), with 12.5 mg of Hydrochlorothiazide, a thiazide diuretic. This combination effectively lowers high blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels and reducing fluid retention. Telmipres Plus is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled on Telmisartan monotherapy. The usual starting dose is one tablet (40 mg/12.5 mg) once daily, with the possibility of increasing to 80 mg/12.5 mg or 80 mg/25 mg once daily based on individual response. Common side effects include dizziness, fatigue, back pain, and gastrointestinal disturbances. It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Telmisartan, Hydrochlorothiazide, or any component of the formulation, during pregnancy, and in those with severe hepatic or renal impairment.
