Uroben XR 25 mg Tablet is a prescription medication manufactured by Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd., containing the active ingredient Mirabegron. It is a selective beta-3 adrenergic receptor agonist used for the symptomatic treatment of overactive bladder (OAB) in adults. The primary symptoms of OAB include urgency, increased frequency of urination, and urgency incontinence. Mirabegron works by relaxing the detrusor smooth muscle of the bladder, thereby increasing bladder capacity and reducing the frequency of involuntary contractions. This extended-release formulation is designed to provide a sustained therapeutic effect over 24 hours. The recommended starting dose is 25 mg once daily, which may be increased to 50 mg based on individual efficacy and tolerability. It is important to swallow the tablet whole with water and not to chew, divide, or crush it. Patients with severe renal impairment or moderate hepatic impairment should not exceed 25 mg daily, and the medication is not recommended for those with end-stage renal disease or severe hepatic impairment. Common side effects may include elevated blood pressure, dry mouth, urinary tract infections, headache, and constipation.
