Description
Visitear Eye Drops 10 ml is a sterile ocular lubricant manufactured by Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd., formulated to alleviate symptoms associated with dry eyes. Each milliliter contains 2 mg of Glycerin BP, 3.6 mg of Hypromellose USP, and 10 mg of Polyethylene Glycol 400 BP. This combination works synergistically to restore moisture, stabilize the tear film, and protect the ocular surface. Glycerin acts as a humectant, drawing moisture to the eye; Hypromellose provides viscosity and muco-adhesive properties, enhancing tear film stability; and Polyethylene Glycol 400 increases tear film stability and reduces evaporation. Indicated for the symptomatic relief of burning, irritation, and discomfort due to dryness of the eye or exposure to wind or sun, it is also effective in treating keratoconjunctivitis sicca. The recommended dosage is 1 to 2 drops in the affected eye(s) up to four times daily, or as needed. Common side effects may include mild, transient burning or sticky sensation, and rarely, irritation or hypersensitivity reactions. It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any ingredient of the product. Precautions include removing contact lenses before use and not using the solution if it changes color or becomes cloudy. Store at room temperature and discard the solution 4 weeks after opening
