Used for relief of gastrointestinal spasms, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and other smooth muscle spastic conditions.
Disopan contains Hyoscine Butylbromide, an anticholinergic agent that relaxes smooth muscles by blocking muscarinic receptors.
Typically 0.5 mg to 1 mg taken 3-4 times daily or as prescribed by a doctor.
Administer orally, preferably before meals. Follow the prescribed schedule for optimal results.
May interact with other anticholinergic drugs, and increase risk of side effects. Inform your doctor about all medicines.
Contraindicated in patients with myasthenia gravis, glaucoma, severe ulcerative colitis, or known hypersensitivity.
Possible side effects include dry mouth, dizziness, blurred vision, and constipation. Seek medical advice if severe reactions occur.
