Tinabil 60 ml Oral Solution is an antihistamine medication containing Bilastine 12.5 mg per 5 ml, manufactured by Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd. It is formulated as a non-sedating, long-acting oral solution used primarily for the symptomatic relief of allergic conditions such as allergic rhino-conjunctivitis (both seasonal and perennial) and urticaria (hives). Bilastine works by selectively blocking peripheral H1 histamine receptors, thereby reducing allergy symptoms like sneezing, nasal congestion, itching, and watery eyes without causing drowsiness. Unlike older antihistamines, Bilastine has minimal interaction with other receptor types and is not metabolized in the body, being excreted unchanged through urine and feces, which contributes to its safety profile. Tinabil is suitable for both children and adults and is typically taken on an empty stomach for maximum effectiveness.
