Rupatadine is a long-acting, non-sedative antihistamine that functions as a selective antagonist of histamine H1 receptors and also inhibits platelet-activating factor (PAF). Rupex is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis and idiopathic urticaria. The recommended dosage for adults and adolescents over 12 years is 10 mg once daily, with or without food.
