Description
Oryza 120ml is a therapeutic mouthwash produced by Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd., containing 0.15% w/v benzydamine hydrochloride. This non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) offers both analgesic and local anesthetic effects, making it effective for relieving pain and inflammation associated with conditions such as sore throat, mouth ulcers, sore gums or tongue, discomfort from dentures, and post-dental surgery pain. Benzydamine works by inhibiting pro-inflammatory cytokines and reducing vascular permeability, thereby alleviating inflammation and providing localized pain relief. Due to its minimal systemic absorption, it ensures targeted action with a low risk of systemic side effects. The recommended usage involves rinsing or gargling 15 ml of the solution every 1.5 to 3 hours, for 20–30 seconds, without swallowing. If a stinging sensation occurs, the mouthwash can be diluted with an equal volume of water. Oryza is not recommended for children under 12 years of age and should be used with caution in individuals with known hypersensitivity to its components. Potential side effects are generally mild and may include mouth numbness, stinging, or allergic reactions. It is advisable to store the product in a cool, dry place below 30°C and to consult a healthcare professional before use, especially during pregnancy or lactation
