Description
Nitazox 30 ml is an oral suspension formulation of nitazoxanide, an antiparasitic medication produced by Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Each 5 ml of the suspension contains 100 mg of nitazoxanide, making it suitable for pediatric use. It is primarily prescribed for the treatment of diarrhea caused by protozoal infections such as Giardia lamblia, Cryptosporidium parvum, and Entamoeba histolytica. Nitazoxanide works by disrupting the energy metabolism of these parasites, thereby inhibiting their growth and replication. The suspension is prepared by reconstituting the powder with boiled and cooled water, and it should be used within 7 days after preparation.
