Indications:
REVERT 20/40 is indicated for:
Management of essential hypertension
Patients who require combination therapy for better blood pressure control
Pharmacology:
Telmisartan: An angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that inhibits vasoconstriction and aldosterone secretion, lowering blood pressure.
Amlodipine: A calcium channel blocker that relaxes vascular smooth muscle, reducing peripheral resistance and improving blood flow.
Dosage & Administration:
Usually taken once daily, with or without food.
Dosage may be adjusted according to patient’s response.
Swallow tablet whole; do not crush or chew.
Interaction:
May interact with other antihypertensives, potassium supplements, NSAIDs, and lithium.
Caution with drugs affecting renal function.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to Telmisartan, Amlodipine, or related compounds
Severe hepatic impairment
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Side Effects:
Dizziness, headache, peripheral edema
Fatigue, nausea
Rare: hypotension, palpitations, angioedema
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Contraindicated in pregnancy. Use during breastfeeding only if clearly necessary under medical supervision.
Precautions & Warnings:
Monitor blood pressure and renal function regularly
Use cautiously in patients with liver or kidney disease
Avoid sudden discontinuation to prevent rebound hypertension
