Description
Tinabil 20 mg Tablet is an antihistamine medication manufactured by Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd., containing the active ingredient Bilastine. Bilastine is a potent, non-sedating H₁ receptor antagonist with a high affinity for histamine receptors, offering effective relief from allergic symptoms. It is primarily indicated for the symptomatic treatment of allergic rhino-conjunctivitis (both seasonal and perennial) and urticaria (hives). Additionally, Tinabil 20 mg Tablet is used to alleviate symptoms of hay fever, including sneezing, itchy, runny, blocked nose, and red and watery eyes. The recommended dosage for adults and adolescents (12 years and older) is one 20 mg tablet once daily, preferably taken on an empty stomach. For children aged 6 to 11 years, a 10 mg mouth-dissolving tablet is recommended. The medication is well-tolerated, with side effects such as headache, dizziness, somnolence, and fatigue occurring at a comparable frequency to placebo. Tinabil 20 mg Tablet is contraindicated in individuals with hypersensitivity to Bilastine or any of the tablet's excipients. It is advisable to consult a healthcare professional before starting this medication, especially during pregnancy or breastfeeding. The tablet should be stored below 30°C, protected from light and moisture, and kept out of reach of children.
