Indications:
AMLEVO 5MG Tablet is indicated for:

Management of hypertension (high blood pressure).

Treatment of chronic stable angina and vasospastic angina.
Pharmacology:
Amlodipine, a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker, inhibits calcium influx into vascular smooth muscle and myocardial cells, leading to vasodilation, decreased vascular resistance, and improved myocardial oxygen supply.
Dosage and Administration:

Adults: 5-10 mg once daily, depending on patient response.

Elderly or patients with hepatic impairment: Start with 5 mg once daily.

Take orally with water, with or without food.

Follow the prescribed schedule by the physician for optimal results.

Interaction:

Enhanced antihypertensive effect when used with other blood pressure medications.

Grapefruit juice may increase plasma levels of Amlodipine, leading to prolonged effects.
Contraindications:

Known hypersensitivity to Amlodipine or other dihydropyridine calcium channel blockers.

Severe hypotension or cardiogenic shock.
Side Effects:

Common: Dizziness, headache, fatigue, nausea, swelling in ankles or feet.

Rare: Palpitations, allergic reactions, liver dysfunction.
