BRIZY 100ML Syrup is indicated for:-
Seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis.

Chronic idiopathic urticaria.

Relief from symptoms like sneezing, runny nose, and itchy eyes or skin.

Pharmacology:
BRIZY contains cetirizine hydrochloride, a selective H1-receptor antagonist. It inhibits the action of histamine, reducing allergic symptoms without causing significant drowsiness.
Dosage and Administration:

Adults and children over 12 years: 10 mL once daily.

Children (6-12 years): 5 mL twice daily.

Children (2-6 years): 2.5 mL twice daily or as directed by a physician.

Administer orally using a measuring cup or spoon for accurate dosing.
Interaction:

Avoid alcohol and other CNS depressants as they may enhance drowsiness.

May interact with theophylline, altering its plasma concentration.
Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to cetirizine or any of its components.

Severe renal impairment.
Side Effects:

Common: Dry mouth, fatigue, dizziness.

Rare: Severe allergic reactions, tachycardia, or liver enzyme elevation.
Pregnancy & Lactation:

Should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed.

Use with caution during breastfeeding as cetirizine passes into breast milk.
Precautions & Warnings:

Avoid engaging in activities requiring alertness, such as driving, if drowsiness occurs.

Adjust dose in patients with moderate renal or hepatic impairment.
Therapeutic Class:
Non-sedative H1 receptor antihistamines.
Storage Conditions:
Store below 25°C, away from sunlight and moisture. Keep tightly closed and out of children's reach
