BILTIN 20MG Tablet is indicated for:-
Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure).

Reducing the risk of cardiovascular events in hypertensive patients.

Pharmacology:
BILTIN contains olmesartan medoxomil, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It selectively inhibits the binding of angiotensin II to the AT1 receptor, preventing vasoconstriction and reducing blood pressure.
Dosage and Administration:

Adults: 20 mg once daily, may be increased to 40 mg if needed.

Administer orally, with or without food, at the same time each day for consistent results.

Dosage adjustments may be required for patients with renal or hepatic impairment.
Interaction:

Avoid combining with potassium supplements or potassium-sparing diuretics due to hyperkalemia risk.

May interact with NSAIDs, reducing the antihypertensive effect.

Concurrent use with lithium may increase lithium toxicity.
Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to olmesartan or any component of the formulation.

Severe renal or hepatic impairment.

Pregnancy: Contraindicated due to risk of fetal toxicity.
Side Effects:

Common: Dizziness, headache, fatigue.

Rare: Hyperkalemia, renal dysfunction, or allergic reactions.
Pregnancy & Lactation:

Contraindicated during pregnancy. Use an alternative antihypertensive therapy.

Not recommended during breastfeeding unless absolutely necessary.
Precautions & Warnings:

Monitor blood pressure regularly to assess effectiveness.

Use cautiously in patients with renal artery stenosis or severe heart failure.

Avoid sudden discontinuation to prevent rebound hypertension.
