Indications:
ZITHROX 20ML is indicated for the treatment of respiratory tract infections (such as bronchitis, pneumonia), skin and soft tissue infections, ear infections, and certain sexually transmitted infections caused by susceptible bacteria.
Pharmacology:
Azithromycin is a macrolide antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, thereby preventing bacterial growth and replication. It is effective against a broad spectrum of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
Dosage:

Children: Usually 10 mg/kg once daily for 3 days or as prescribed by the physician.

Shake well before use. Use the measuring device provided for accurate dosing.
Administration:
Orally, after meals. Measure the exact dose using the provided measuring spoon or syringe.
Interaction:
May interact with antacids containing aluminum or magnesium; avoid simultaneous intake. Caution with drugs that prolong QT interval.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to Azithromycin, erythromycin, or any macrolide antibiotic.
Side Effects:
Possible side effects include gastrointestinal upset, diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, and rare allergic reactions.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Generally considered safe; use only if clearly needed and prescribed by a doctor.
Precautions & Warnings:
