Indications:
Olmesta 20mg is indicated for treating hypertension and reducing the risk of stroke, heart attack, and kidney disease.
Pharmacology:
Contains Olmesartan medoxomil, an angiotensin II receptor blocker that relaxes blood vessels to reduce blood pressure.
Dosage:
Generally, one 20mg tablet once daily; dosage adjustments made by the physician as needed.
Administration:
Orally with or without food, preferably at the same time every day.
Interaction:
May interact with potassium supplements, other antihypertensives, and NSAIDs. Inform your doctor about all medicines.
Contraindications:
Avoid use in patients allergic to Olmesartan, during pregnancy, or with severe hepatic or renal impairment without medical advice.
Side Effects:
Possible side effects include dizziness, headache, fatigue, and gastrointestinal discomfort.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding unless prescribed by a doctor.
