Indications:
Nabumet FC 750mg Tablet is indicated for the relief of signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
Pharmacology:
Nabumetone is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, leading to a decrease in the production of prostaglandins, substances in the body involved in inflammation, pain, and fever.
Dosage:
Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis:
Starting dose: 1000 mg once daily.
Maintenance dose: 1000–2000 mg per day, administered once daily or in two divided doses.
Maximum dose: 2000 mg per day.
Administration:
Nabumet FC 750mg Tablet should be taken orally, with or without food, as prescribed by your healthcare provider.
Interaction:
Concomitant use of Nabumetone with other NSAIDs, anticoagulants, or corticosteroids may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. Caution is advised when used with antihypertensive agents, diuretics, or lithium.
Contraindications:
Nabumet FC 750mg Tablet is contraindicated in individuals with a known hypersensitivity to Nabumetone or any component of the formulation, and in those with a history of gastrointestinal bleeding or ulceration.
Side Effects:
Common: Gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, headache, dizziness, rash, pruritus.
Serious: Hepatotoxicity, including liver failure; serious skin reactions; neutropenia; thrombocytopenia; angioedema; anaphylaxis.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Pregnancy: Use during pregnancy should be avoided unless clearly needed.
Lactation: Nabumetone is excreted in breast milk; caution is advised when administered to a nursing woman.
Precautions & Warnings:
Liver function should be monitored during treatment with Nabumet FC 750mg Tablet. Discontinue therapy if signs of liver dysfunction occur.
