Indications:
REJOY 30MG is indicated for treatment of major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and other related mental health conditions.
Pharmacology:
Contains Fluoxetine, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) that increases serotonin levels in the brain, improving mood and reducing anxiety.
Dosage:
Typical dose is 20-40 mg daily, taken orally. Dose should be adjusted by the physician based on response and tolerability.
Administration:
Take orally, with or without food, preferably in the morning to avoid insomnia.
Interaction:
May interact with MAO inhibitors, other antidepressants, anticoagulants, and certain herbal supplements. Always inform your doctor about all medications.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to fluoxetine, concurrent use of MAO inhibitors, and certain psychiatric conditions.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include nausea, headache, insomnia, dizziness, and sexual dysfunction. Rare but serious side effects include serotonin syndrome.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use only if clearly needed and prescribed by a physician. Consult doctor before use in pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Precautions & Warnings:
Monitor for mood changes, suicidal thoughts especially in young adults and adolescents. Avoid abrupt discontinuation.
