Indications:
RIDON 10 MG is indicated for relief of muscle spasms, musculoskeletal pain, and stiffness associated with conditions like muscle injury, sprains, and strains.
Pharmacology:
Contains Tizanidine, a central alpha-2 adrenergic agonist that inhibits motor neurons, resulting in muscle relaxation and reduced spasticity.
Dosage:
Typically 2-4 mg taken orally every 6 to 8 hours. Dose should be individualized and prescribed by a physician.
Administration:
Take orally with or without food. Avoid sudden discontinuation.
Interaction:
May interact with antihypertensives, CNS depressants, and other muscle relaxants. Inform your doctor about all concurrent medications.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to tizanidine, severe hepatic impairment, and concurrent use with ciprofloxacin or fluvoxamine.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include drowsiness, dry mouth, dizziness, hypotension, and muscle weakness.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use only if clearly needed and prescribed. Consult doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Precautions & Warnings:
Monitor blood pressure and liver function during treatment. Use caution when performing tasks requiring alertness.
