Indications:
Delzo 30mg Capsule is indicated for:
Treating gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
Healing erosive esophagitis
Relieving symptoms of acid reflux such as heartburn
Pharmacology:
Dexlansoprazole, the active ingredient in Delzo, is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that works by blocking the H+/K+ ATPase pump in the stomach lining, effectively reducing gastric acid secretion.
Dosage and Administration:
Dosage: The usual dose is 30mg once daily, as prescribed by a doctor. The dosage may vary based on the severity of the condition.
Administration: Take orally with water, with or without food. Do not crush or chew the capsule.
Interaction:
Concurrent use with warfarin or clopidogrel may alter their effects.
May reduce the absorption of drugs requiring an acidic environment (e.g., ketoconazole, itraconazole).
Avoid concurrent use with high-dose methotrexate unless supervised by a physician.
Contraindications:
Known hypersensitivity to Dexlansoprazole or other PPIs

Long-term use may increase the risk of bone fractures or Clostridium difficile infection.
