FIBRINO 500MG Capsule is indicated for:
Menorrhagia: Heavy menstrual bleeding.
Surgical Hemorrhage: Prevention and control of bleeding during and after surgeries.
Trauma-Related Bleeding: Management of bleeding due to injuries.
Hemorrhagic Disorders: Conditions such as nosebleeds, dental extractions, and hereditary angioedema.
Tranexamic Acid is an antifibrinolytic agent that works by inhibiting the conversion of plasminogen to plasmin, thereby preventing the breakdown of fibrin clots. This helps in reducing excessive bleeding.
Dosage:
Adults: 500mg to 1g (1-2 capsules) 2-3 times daily, as directed by a physician.
Administration: Take orally with water, with or without food.
Increased Risk of Thrombosis: When used with hormonal contraceptives or anticoagulants.
Potential Interaction: With other hemostatic drugs; requires medical supervision.
Hypersensitivity to Tranexamic Acid.
Active thromboembolic disease or history of blood clots.
Severe renal impairment.
Common: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or headache.
Rare: Allergic reactions, visual disturbances, or thromboembolic events.
Pregnancy: Use only if prescribed by a healthcare provider.
Lactation: Caution advised; Tranexamic Acid is excreted in breast milk.
