Indications:
RUPADAY 60ML is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of:

Seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis
-
Chronic idiopathic urticaria
Pharmacology:
Rupatadine is a long-acting, non-sedating antihistamine that selectively inhibits peripheral H1 receptors. It also antagonizes platelet-activating factor (PAF), contributing to its anti-inflammatory properties.
Dosage:
-
Children aged 2 to 11 years:
-
Weighing 10 kg to less than 25 kg: 2.5 ml once daily
-
Weighing 25 kg or more: 5 ml once daily
-
Administration:
Administer orally, with or without food. Shake the bottle well before use.
Interaction:
Concomitant use with ketoconazole or erythromycin may increase systemic exposure to Rupatadine. Caution is advised when used with CYP3A4 inhibitors, statins, CNS depressants, or alcohol. Avoid grapefruit juice during therapy.
Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to Rupatadine or any of its components
Side Effects:
Common side effects include drowsiness, headache, fatigue, and dry mouth. These effects are generally mild and transient.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
The safety of Rupatadine during pregnancy and lactation has not been established. Use only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus or infant.
Precautions & Warnings:

Use with caution in elderly patients and those with renal or hepatic impairment.

Avoid activities requiring mental alertness if drowsiness occurs.
