Indications:
Mycofin 10gm Cream is indicated for the topical treatment of fungal skin infections, including:
Tinea pedis (athlete's foot)
Tinea cruris (jock itch)
Tinea corporis (ringworm)
Cutaneous candidiasis
Pityriasis (tinea) versicolor
Pharmacology:
Terbinafine Hydrochloride is an allylamine antifungal that inhibits the enzyme squalene epoxidase, essential in ergosterol synthesis, a key component of fungal cell membranes. This inhibition leads to an accumulation of squalene and a deficiency of ergosterol, resulting in fungal cell death.
Dosage:
Apply a thin layer once or twice daily to the affected area and surrounding skin.
Duration of treatment:
Tinea corporis and Tinea cruris: 1–2 weeks
Tinea pedis: 2–4 weeks
Cutaneous candidiasis: 2 weeks
Pityriasis versicolor: 2 weeks
Administration:
Clean and dry the affected area thoroughly before application. Apply the cream in a thin layer and rub in gently. Wash hands after application unless treating the hands.

No significant drug interactions have been reported with topical Terbinafine. However, caution is advised when used concurrently with other topical agents to avoid potential irritation.
